Prof. Dr. Muhittin Şener
Prof. Dr. Muhittin Şener was born in 1960 in Muğla. In 1987, he graduated from Hacettepe University and became a Doctor of Medicine. He completed his specialty training at Karadeniz Technical University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology between 1987-1993. In 1990, he worked on Hand Surgery and Microsurgery at Leeds University, St. James Hospital in England. After completing his compulsory service in Tosya and Karamürsel State Hospitals after his specialization, he worked as an Assistant Professor at Kocaeli University between 1995-1997. In 1997, he was appointed as Assistant Professor at Karadeniz Technical University, Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology and became Associate Professor in 1998. After becoming an Associate Professor, he continued his studies on hand, shoulder and elbow surgery at the same university and became a Professor in 2004. Between 2006-2011, he worked as the Chief of Orthopedics and Traumatology Clinic at İzmir Atatürk Training and Research Hospital. Since 2011, he has served as the Head of the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology at Izmir Katip Çelebi University, Faculty of Medicine, in the same hospital. Prof. Dr. Muhittin Şener, who speaks English fluently, is married and has 1 child.
