Bariatristanbul, who has been actively performing bariatric surgery - bariatric surgery operations since 2010, Prof. Dr. Koray Karabulut and Dr. It was founded by faculty member Kenan Binnetoğlu in Istanbul in 2019. Dr. Koray Karabulut and Dr. Kenan Binnetoğlu worked together in Fırat University Faculty of Medicine, Department of General Surgery between 2009-2014. Dr. Koray Karabulut followed obesity surgery practices in leading centers such as Istanbul Faculty of Medicine General Surgery Clinic, where he received his specialty training, IRCAD - Strasbourg where he was for laparoscopic surgery course in 2007, and Cleveland Clinic, where he was a research fellow in 2010. In 2011, he performed the first Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy and the first Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass in Fırat University General Surgery Clinic and pioneered the initiation of bariatric surgical interventions in his own clinic. Dr. Koray Karabulut, Dr. Together with Kenan Binnetoğlu, they reached a wide range of patients in the same clinic where they performed procedures such as Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy, Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass and Revisional bariatric surgery. They participated in training activities in this field. Today, they contributed to the training of many surgeons who are actively dealing with bariatric surgery in different centers of our country. Dr. Kenan Binnetoğlu worked at Kafkas University Faculty of Medicine, Department of General Surgery between 2016-2019. During this period, he pioneered the first laparoscopic metabolic surgery operations in Kars and surrounding provinces. Dr. Koray Karabulut resigned from Fırat University Faculty of Medicine General Surgery Department in 2018 and started working at Şişli Memorial Hospital. Bariatric surgical procedures continued in this hospital as well. Prof Dr Koray Karabulut and Dr Faculty Member Kenan Binnetoğlu work together at the Medical Park Bahçelievler Hospital under the roof of Bariatristanbul, which they established in August 2019.
